What We Do

As a naturopathic doctor, my goal is to help you feel your best. At our first appointment, I will assess your unique needs and prepare a wellness plan matching those needs. During follow-up appointments we will fine tune your treatment plan bringing you closer to a vibrant and stable state of health and wellness.

One, some, or all of the following treatments may be used:

Nutritional Evaluations-

Keeping in mind the naturopathic medical premise that the body has the innate ability to heal itself, we look at your diet to determine whether or not you are getting the essential nutrients your body needs to maintain optimal health. I then make the recommended dietary modifications needed to re-balance your body and support your body’s ability to healing itself.

Dietary and lifestyle modifications-

This involves looking closely at your typical food intake in combination with the stressors in your life. What you eat, levels and types of stress, and your relationship with food all inform the consequences of your lifestyle choices. We will discuss how to modify them to improve your health and well-being.

Homeopathic Drainage-

Homeopathic and energetic remedies used to detoxify the body and stimulate a state of wellness. The goal is to re-balance the body so it can handle normal, daily stressors.

Flower Essences-

Dilutions of flower material that affect change on mental and emotional levels. The effects can be compared to the experience of hearing a favorite song or looking at an old photo of friend or family member. That same feeling of joy, bliss and happiness can occur when a flower essence is blended for you.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) –

A technique you can learn to do on your own that involves tapping on various key points on the body. It helps a person clear emotionally disturbing mental images or memories on a cellular level. People have used it successfully for fear of public speaking, test anxiety, addictions and many other mental, emotional and even physical issues.

Hydrotherapy-

A core naturopathic therapy that stimulates and strengthens the immune system using various forms of alternating hot and cold applications on specific areas of the body. This can range from ending your hot shower with several seconds of cold water to having alternating hot and cold towels placed on your chest and abdomen, and back several times as you rest comfortably under warm wool blankets. These treatments are helpful for many conditions, helped by increasing circulation and immune response.

Botanical/Herbal medicine-

Plant-based remedies used to support and strengthen, or calm and pacify different body systems. Based on your unique needs an herbal formula can be prepared. Formulas may be in the form of a tincture, capsule, tablet, tea, or powder.

Craniosacral therapy (CST) –

A gentle type of bodywork designed to help the body work optimally. Through gentle palpation this therapy balances and removes patterns of tension found throughout the body. During treatments patients remain fully clothed. CST is beneficial for infants, toddlers, children, and adults.
